Council Elections 2018-2020

The ballot is now open for the Council Election 2018-2020. Voting members are eligible to vote in this ballot.  The Council Election 2018-2020 will be conducted electronically by an independent voting and election services company. The College has engaged CorpVote to conduct the Council Election. CorpVote has extensive experience in elections and has been used by other dental organisations to conduct elections.

GOVERNANCE SKILLS
RACDS Councillors are Directors of a company limited by guarantee. A balanced Council will include a broad range of skills across a range of Councillors. For further information on Governance Skills mix click here.

ELECTION INFORMATION
Following the nomination period, the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons received SEVENTEEN (17) nominations for TEN (10) positions as Councillor. Therefore an election is required to determine these positions.

NOTE: Dr Erin Mahoney was the only nomination received for the position of Councillor for the New Zealand Region. Dr Albert Lee was the only nomination received for the position of Councillor for the Asia Region. In accordance with Rule 8.2(e) of the Constitution, Dr Erin Mahoney and Dr Albert Lee will be declared elected as Councillors for their respective regions at the College Annual General Meeting on Friday 23 November 2018, and a ballot for these positions is not required.

Ballot Period
The ballot will open at 00:01 AEDT on Tuesday 9th October 2018 and closes at 23:59 AEDT on Friday 2nd November 2018.

Voting Instructions
The Council Elections 2018-2020 will be held as an electronic voting process. To lodge your vote you will be required to enter your Voter Access Code (VAC) and your Date of Birth. Your Voter Access Code and voting instructions will be supplied to you by CorpVote via email at the time the vote opens.
 
Electronic voting will commence on Tuesday, 9th October 2018. The electronic voting process will include the Candidate Information, photos and the electronic ballot. Candidate Information can also be viewed here on the College website.
 
CorpVote will be providing a Support phone line as well as a Support email address if you need assistance with electronic voting.
 
Fellows and Members who do not have email addresses have been sent ballot papers in the post.
