The Final Examination Workshop (FEW) is a preparatory three-day workshop which provides candidates with the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions which have been modelled on the format of the Final Examination.

The focus of the examiner facilitated sessions is case diagnosis, analysis and treatment planning with an emphasis on peer interaction, problem solving and communication skills. The principle aim of the workshop is to assist candidates in understanding what they need to do to prepare for the Final Examination. It is modelled on developing some core skills necessary for the exam and giving an insight into the requirements and processes of the exam.

The workshop also overs evidence-based practice guidelines. This includes techniques and information to assist candidates to find, evaluate cite and translate that information into their clinical practice.

All contributing lecturers are also examiners for the Final Examination, and will be providing valuable insight into how to achieve the best results. It is recommended that Candidates complete the workshop in the year prior to sitting the examination. Candidates will gain CPD points for their attendance.

Candidates will have access to the lecture materials prior to the start of the workshop through the e-Learning. A workbook with these materials will also be made available to the candidates in hard copy at the workshop.

As a part of the workshop all workshop participants will be invited by the College to a social dinner function. This dinner function is a great opportunity to relax and chat with co-participants and lecturers.

Candidates are also encouraged to consider enrolling for the Web Based Education program to have additional preparation.
