Maximise your performance in the Final Examination for Fellowship!

The College is proud to offer candidates a unique 2.5 day course to maximise success and grow confidence for passing the Final Examination for Fellowship. Preparation for Fellowship Success will be held in Sydney CBD, May 15-17 and offers continuing professional development (CPD) points.

Candidates who complete RACDS educational programmes prior to sitting the Final Examination have greater success. This course provides you a unique opportunity to work with examiners, experienced facilitators and different groups of candidates to facilitate your success.

In 2020, the course has been tailored meet our candidate’s needs. There is a focus on small group interaction with facilitators to help candidates work through virtual clinical cases. This will improve your ability to think, analyse and develop management plans for patients in an examination setting.

It will offer you multidisciplinary content updates in general dental practice with emphasis on how you demonstrate your skills as a reflective clinician, use evidence and demonstrate an integrated and patient-centred approach to examiners. Sessions will also be offered on how to identify literature and articles to enhance practice and pass the written sections with examples of past questions and candidate responses.

You will be equipped with a tool-kit of techniques and ideas for study to prepare for success and have training in viva voce techniques. The course will be finished with a ‘Session for me’ where you choose a small group session to revisit areas of the course where you would like more guidance and practice.

The College invites all participants to a complimentary casual dinner on the Friday evening. This social occasion is an opportunity to meet and talk with co-participants, course facilitators, Fellows and College representatives.

Numbers for the Preparation for Fellowship Success Course are limited to the first 80 candidates. For enquires, please contact Education Officer Emily Guo at emily.guo@racds.org
