How can I become a Fellow?

Thank you for your interest in Fellowship in the College.

The College offers two Streams of entry to Fellowship.

1. General Stream – FRACDS
2. Special Field Stream – for example, FRACDS(SND)

The minimum requirements for each are;

1. General Stream

     a.   Dental Degree
     b.   Pass in the Primary Examination
           (or exemption – See Regulation 15)
     c.   Pass in the Final Examination

Note - admission to the Final Examination is only granted after three year’s practice of dentistry and a minimum of two years clinical practice.

2. Special Field Stream

a. Dental Degree
b. Pass in the Primary Examination (or exemption – See Regulation 36)

c. Membership in the Special Field
d. Pass in the Final Examination (Special Field Stream)

Note – Conditions of eligibility

Evidence of having successfully completed a full time, supervised programme of advanced training (minimum of three years’ duration) leading to the degree of Master
Successful completion of specifications in the Appendix relating to the particular Special Field Stream.
