How can I become a Fellow?


Thank you for your interest in Fellowship in the College.

The College offers two Streams of entry to Fellowship.

1. General Stream – FRACDS
2. Special Field Stream – for example, FRACDS(SND)

The minimum requirements for each are;


1. General Stream
 
     a.   Dental Degree
     b.   Pass in the Primary Examination 
           (or exemption – See Regulation 15)
     c.   Pass in the Final Examination

Note - admission to the Final Examination is only granted after three year’s practice of dentistry and a minimum of two years clinical practice.


2. Special Field Stream    

    a.   Dental Degree
    b.   Pass in the Primary Examination (or exemption – See Regulation 36)

    c.   Membership in the Special Field
    d.   Pass in the Final Examination (Special Field Stream)

Note – Conditions of eligibility 

  • Evidence of having successfully completed a full time, supervised programme of advanced training (minimum of three years’ duration) leading to the degree of Master
  • Successful completion of specifications in the Appendix relating to the particular Special Field Stream.
