Admission to Fellowship
Pledge
Every application for admission to Fellowship shall
- Embody the following pledge which shall be binding upon the candidate admitted to Fellowship:
"I hereby pledge myself as a condition of Fellowship of the College to practise dentistry and conduct my professional life in strict accordance with the Constitution and principles of the College. I pledge myself to obey all regulations, by-laws and rules of the College now in force, which I hereby declare I have read, or any regulations, by-laws or rules that may be adopted from time to time by the Council or by its governing body or duly delegated authority. I declare that I will submit to any penalties, including expulsion from the College, that may be imposed by the Council or the governing body or duly delegated authority for violation of any regulation, by-law, rule, or of this pledge, and to yield up my Certificate of Fellowship upon ceasing to be a Fellow of the College".
- Embody an agreement by the candidate that all communications made by the Council or any of its officers and all answers to any questionnaire made by any referee or Fellow of the College shall be absolutely privileged and shall for all purposes be deemed to be a privileged communication.
How to Become a Fellow
Certificate
On admission each Fellow shall receive a Certificate of Fellowship stating that by virtue of having complied with the requirements of the Constitution Fellowship has been conferred upon the holder by resolution of the Council. The Certificate of Fellowship at all times remains the property of the College.
