Administration

The College administrative office was initially established in the William Bland Centre, 229 Macquarie Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. In 1986 the office was transferred to 64 Castlereagh Street, Sydney. Some of the College's functions are performed through the established Regional Committees, each being responsible for the holding of a scientific meeting each year and, at appropriate intervals, assisting the Council in organising a Convocation.

An important aspect of the Regional Committee's activities is to encourage and assist prospective candidates in undertaking the College Examinations. Each Committee has Student Advisers who are selected wherever possible from Fellows who have undertaken the Examinations. In addition, Fellows are encouraged to give advice and, where possible, help to intending candidates. Some of the committees have been able to arrange courses of instruction through existing instrumentalities. Conjoint meetings of delegates from Regional Committees and Council are held from time to time.
